Hi Ben, The idea of a loyalty curve was Good and Appreciated But it's just too slow...like i was expecting claimable reward at least once in 7 days, my curve is stick at 96% lol.

Yeah it definitely muddled the whole process up. Recommend we switch back and do away with the confusion.

I agree that, as such, it is too complicated and too strict. But I wouldn't vote for a complete reversal. I am more in favor of ajustments because the idea to promote long-term participants is good. Shorter duration and with a fixed (not user-adjustable) threshold would make more sense to me.

The new mining claim behaviour felt "snuck" in with the money market release. Would have made more sense to have a separate referendum for this feature request and a good learning experience of how to better bundle future updates.

There is a reason why I voted "Nay" to the initial proposal at first place. And now they are reverting back. Better late than never... to understand the mistake and to revert it.

happy to see this proposal for 2 reasons :
1- should have been proposed in a separat Ref after extensive discutions with the community to find the right balance
2- the new system is far too restrictif and penalizing for actif LP.
Claim frequency was just far too low to get full rewards and loss of loyalty bonus at every claim was especially unfair for user we just claimed to top up their rewards in the pools

Hi,

I know this isn't the way for asking a quiestion however i can not connect to the discord server with my account something is blocking my acces to the hydration server.

I want to vote however my voting balance is 0 ? i have free tokens on my balance and a lot of HDX in stake ?

I voted Aye, primarily because the new claim function significantly affected simplicity and usability.

Claiming is no longer a seamless and satisfying "one-click" action.
Instead, it has transformed into a more complex decision-making process, which has ultimately impacted both the usability and overall satisfaction with Hydration.

That said, I am confident the user experience insights gained from this change will serve as valuable lessons learned for the future.

Complicated and make it so hard and slow.

While you're at it, it might also be a good idea to review the staking function, which suffers in many of the same ways.

  • Claiming has a ridiculously long loyalty period (even when voting with full amount 6x on every proposal)
  • Claiming can never be done with a loss
  • Claiming resets the loyalty period when adding more staked tokens

Now that referendum #199 passed (reverting the change in claiming rewards), when can we expect the actual runtime upgrade? I HATE the delay mechanism. There is already a loyalty curve that starts when you add liquidity --- to have another one for leaving rewards in is insane.
