Through referendum #187 (https://hydration.subsquare.io/democracy/referenda/187) token holders approved using Snowbridge to bring AAVE, sUSDS & sUSDe to Hydration.
However, since that referendum passed, Wormhole and MakerDAO/ Sky Protocol announced a partnership with Wormhole (https://x.com/wormhole/status/1858873643608273116?s=46&t=-jk8J4n-gl_nXjt4EmHUeQ) providing native USDS transfers between Ethereum and Solana. It therefore makes sense to more closely align with both parties by using the same bridge solution for our own sUSDS liquidity.
This proposal therefore, if approved, places the following on-chain remark:
Use Moonbeam Routed Liquidity (Wormhole) for sUSDS
Overwriting the previous decision to use Snowbridge for sUSDS and allowing the Hydration Council to proceed with using MRL.
I voted Aye on the aforementioned referendum because it said we would evangelize the ecosystem and use decentralized solutions like Snowbridge. This is a change I don't agree with. If I understand well, this "native" bridge is just a new token now accepted via Wormhole and is nothing close to "native" and decentralized (from a tech point of view), am I correct ?
